The initiative also aims to assist stakeholders in complying with domestic sourcing guidelines and boosting global export readiness.

In addition to launching the portal, the minister felicitated outstanding states and industry stakeholders for their roles in expanding India’s wind sector. He released a specialized publication alongside three sector reports addressing manufacturing capabilities, project development, and long-term power system planning.
In his address, Minister Joshi highlighted India’s record wind capacity addition, noting that the country added 6.1 gigawatts of new wind capacity during the 2025-26 financial year, marking a 46 percent increase over the previous year. He discussed India’s growing manufacturing strength, the expanding clean energy demands from data centers and export-focused industries, and the cost-competitive nature of wind energy. The minister also urged the industry to provide a comprehensive assessment regarding the potential for repowering older, aging wind energy projects.
Concluding his remarks, the minister acknowledged the vision and leadership provided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in driving clean energy initiatives, which have helped position India as the world’s fourth-largest wind power market. He expressed confidence that continued collaboration between central and state governments, industry bodies, and sector stakeholders will keep the wind ecosystem central to the country’s long-term economic and clean energy growth.
