SIR Sails Smooth In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Chief Electoral Officer of Odisha Shri R S Gopalan has stated that the ongoing special intensive revision (SIR) process of the voter list in Odisha is moving forward successfully. On the 11th day of the revision campaign, a total of 87.66 percent of forms have been distributed across the state.

According to available information, forms have been successfully distributed to a total of 2 crore 92 lakh 78 thousand 308 voters in the state by this evening. This special intensive revision process is underway under the direction of the Election Commission to make the voter list more transparent, updated, and error-free.

While these forms are being distributed door-to-door by Booth Level Officers at the field level, achieving 87.66 percent of the target within a few days reflects smooth administrative management and widespread awareness among voters. The process has been expedited to deliver forms to the remaining voters very quickly.

The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer has clearly requested the general public not to believe any misleading impressions, rumors, or false propaganda spread by any political party or individual regarding this special intensive revision process. Since the entire process is being conducted in a completely transparent and impartial manner, people are urged to rely only on official government information. All Electoral Registration Officers and Booth Level Officers in the state have been instructed to ensure that no eligible voter is left out of the voter list.

According to information from the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, all voters have been cautioned that it is mandatory to complete the received form and submit it to the local Booth Level Officer within the specified deadline. Apart from this, if voters wish, they can download the form from the official website of the Election Commission (voters.eci.gov.in), fill in the details, and upload it themselves. If any voter fails to submit the form within the deadline, there is a risk that their name might be excluded from the revised voter list.

For any confusion, complaint, or further information regarding this process, voters can directly contact the toll-free helpline number 1950. The process has been further accelerated to reach the remaining voters very shortly.
