Bhubaneswar: Senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Shri Sanjay Kumar Biswal today officially assumed charge as the Director of the Information and Public Relations Department.
The handover took place at the Loka Sampark Bhawan conference hall, where key officials gathered to welcome the incoming Director and extend their best wishes for his new tenure.
Upon his arrival, Shri Biswal was warmly greeted with flower bouquets by Additional Secretary Shri Ashok Kumar Behuria, Joint Secretary Shri Kalamuddin, Additional Director Smt. Smita Kar, and Joint Director Smt. Sucheta Priyadarshini.
Other departmental officers and staff members were also present to express their support. During the event, the gathering also extended warm greetings to outgoing Director Shri Anuj Kumar Das Pattnaik for his upcoming assignment.

Prior to this posting, he served as Additional Secretary in the Commerce and Transport Department and has held key administrative positions in the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation and CRUT, earning a reputation for operational efficiency and accessible leadership.
