Bhubaneswar: Odisha is set to accelerate its infrastructure landscape by maximizing the use of the PM Gati Shakti portal for faster, high-quality project execution. This focus on technology-driven implementation took center stage today during a high-level review meeting chaired by Shri Prithviraj Harichandan, the Minister for Public Works, Law, and Excise, at the Lok Seva Bhawan conference hall. Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary, Works outlined the deliberations.
During the meeting, Minister Shri Harichandan emphasized maximizing the utility of the PM Gati Shakti portal to ensure the high-quality and timely execution of infrastructure projects across the state. He recommended simplifying and accelerating the approval process by maintaining close coordination between various central and state government departments.
Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary, Works, stated that the PM Gati Shakti portal is set to play a crucial role in infrastructure development in the coming days. He added that the portal would prove to be revolutionary in accelerating the overall growth of the state and in constructing modern roads, bridges, and buildings.
The meeting featured detailed discussions regarding various infrastructure projects to be implemented in the state, road alignments, the development of multimodal connectivity, better project planning, and integrated implementation through the PM Gati Shakti portal.
In addition, a review was conducted on several vital projects whose foundation stones will be laid or which will be inaugurated during the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Odisha.
The meeting was attended by Anupam Saha, Managing Director of Odisha Bridge and Construction Corporation (OBCC); Er. L. K. Padhi, EIC-cum-Special Secretary; Ratikant Mohapatra, Financial Advisor; Er. Satyabrata Behera, EIC Civil; Er. Samir Hota, EIC Design, Planning, and Coordination; Chief Engineer Narayan Patel; Chief Engineer Priyabrata Samantaray; Chief Engineer Shibabrata Taria; along with other senior officials.
