Bhubaneswar: Deputy Chief Minister and Energy Minister Shri K. V. Singh Deo reaffirmed Odisha’s ambitious roadmap to establish nearly 11 gigawatts of renewable energy capacity by 2030, delivering a strong call to action for global investors and equipment manufacturers to choose the state as their strategic growth partner.
Addressing delegates at the fifth edition of the E3: Energise, Empower, East conclave in Bhubaneswar, Shri Singh Deo extended an open invitation to global industry players to Manufacture in Odisha, Innovate in Odisha and Grow with Odisha. He highlighted the state’s proactive policy framework, strategic assets, and expanding industrial infrastructure designed to support large-scale renewable generation alongside high-tech electrical equipment manufacturing.
The landmark power sector conclave was organized in collaboration with the Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA). The session featured a key address by Minister of State for Industries Shri Sampad Swain, who emphasized Odisha’s integrated approach to aligning clean energy deployment with robust industrial expansion.
Top state leadership and central energy authorities participated in the discussions, including Additional Chief Secretary of Energy Shri Vishal Dev, IAS; Additional Chief Secretary of Industries Shri Hemant Sharma, IAS; Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) Chairman and Managing Director Shri Bhaskar Jyoti Sarma, IAS; and Central Electricity Authority (CEA) Chairperson Shri Ghanshyam Prasad.
During his address, Shri Singh Deo outlined Odisha’s evolution into a preferred hub for solar, wind, energy storage, green hydrogen, and advanced electrical machinery manufacturing. He noted that the government is making substantial investments in expanding transmission network capacity and establishing specialized industrial setups to ensure seamless integration of green power into the grid.
The conclave convened prominent industrialists, technology providers, and power sector leaders, underscoring Odisha’s growing authority and destination status in India’s ongoing clean energy transition.
