Bhubaneswar: Law, Works, and Excise Minister Shri Prithiviraj Harichandan chaired a high-level review meeting at the Convention Centre in Lok Seva Bhawan, emphasizing the need to expedite infrastructure development across the state.

Principal Secretary Works, Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh led the discussion, while stressing quality and time line approach for infrastructure project implementation.

The Minister directed Chief Engineers and Superintending Engineers to proactively clear bottlenecks in road, building, and bridge projects to ensure their completion within the scheduled timeframes.

Minister Shri Harichandan stressed that inter-departmental coordination is crucial for resolving persistent issues related to land acquisition, forest clearances, and utility shifting. Acknowledging that the dedication of departmental officials and engineers over the past two years has led to the successful completion of several major projects, he stated that the momentum must be accelerated. He urged officials to revive long-pending projects and ensure effective utilization of allocated funds within deadlines. To monitor progress and resolve field-level challenges efficiently, the Minister advised executive engineers to conduct regular site visits and hold monthly progress review meetings.

During the meeting, Principal Secretary Works, Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh led detailed discussions on division-wise expenditures, project milestones, and the implementation of modern construction technologies. He also highlighted the strategic integration of software platforms like OSWAS and WAMIS to streamline project management and administrative processes.

The review session was attended by several high-ranking officials and engineers, including EIC-cum-Special Secretary Engineer Laxmikant Padhi, Financial Advisor Ratikant Mohapatra, EIC (Civil) Engineer Satyabrata Behera, EIC (Roads) Engineer Dhyanchand Nayak, Chief Engineer Engineer Priyabrata Samantaray, and Chief Construction Engineer Engineer Manoj Mahananda.
