Bhubaneswar; Physical teaching for the students of Class VI & VII would resume in the State from 15 November, said State School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash here on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters here, Mr.Dash said, “The classroom teaching for the students of classes VI and VII will begin from 15 November. Our department will soon issue detail guidelines about timing of the classes.”
The Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) being followed for conducting classroom teaching for class IX to XII will be applicable for these students also, he said.
The physical classes for Class 1 to V students will be considered in a later phase, the Minister said.
Earlier, Mr.Dash had said that a date for the resumption of the classes for standard VI & VII is likely to be announced any day after Diwali.
The State Government is considering resuming classroom teachings for all classes in phases before the New Year, he had stated.
Physical classes for Class VIII to XII have already resumed in the State. The classroom teaching for Class XI and VII commenced on 21 October and 25 October, 2021, respectively. Classes for students of X and XII started on 26 July last.
While the online classes will continue, students can attend the offline classes in consultation with their parents/ guardians.
These apart, cooked mid-day meals will not be served to the students. Instead, dry ration will be provided to the students as being provided earlier, sources said.
