Dubai: The Odisha Investors Meet was hosted at Hotel Anantara in Dubai on 11 September 2026, marking a significant milestone in strengthening economic ties between Odisha and the United Arab Emirates. The delegation was led by the Honorable Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, alongside Minister for Industries, Shri Sampad Swain, Chief Secretary of Odisha, Shrimati Anu Garg, Additional Chief Secretary of Odisha, Shri Hemant Sharma and prominent business leaders from both regions.
Representing the apex industry bodies of Odisha, Shri Pankaj Lochan Mohanty, Chairman of the ASSOCHAM Odisha Development Council, and Dr. Prabodh Kumar Mohanty, President of UCCIL, joined the delegation as top captains of Odisha industry. Both leaders played a vital role in showcasing Odisha as an ideal investment destination. During the interactive sessions, Shri Pankaj Lochan Mohanty and Dr. Prabodh Kumar Mohanty shared positive perspectives, highlighted key industrial advantages, and reassured the prospective investors from the UAE regarding Odisha’s robust industrial ecosystem, rich natural resources, and supportive policy framework.
The three-day UAE outreach program witnessed enthusiastic participation from UAE business owners and global investors, who turned out in large numbers to engage with Team Odisha. The event served as an effective platform for direct interactions, collaborative dialogues, and strategic partnerships across multiple sectors. Over the course of the outreach, the delegation completed a total of 52 high-level meetings, which comprised 46 direct one-on-one sessions and 6 dedicated roundtable discussions that drew 160 participants.
The outreach delivered exceptional outcomes, securing 8 signed MoUs and 16 Investment Intent Forms. In total, the meet generated a cumulative proposed investment of Rupees 2,43,162 crore with an estimated cumulative employment potential of 6,18,725 jobs. The successful conduct of the meet highlights the growing investor confidence in Odisha and underlines the contributions of industry champions like Shri Pankaj Lochan Mohanty and Dr. Prabodh Kumar Mohanty in driving global business engagements and promoting long-term economic growth for the state.
