Bhubaneswar: Additional Chief Secretary Energy, E&IT, Shri Vishal Kumar Dev, who is piloting the clean energy transition in the state, led a significant milestone as the Department of Energy signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change.
The agreement was finalized in the presence of ACS Shri Dev to support the strategic design and development of the state energy roadmap.
This collaborative initiative aims to accelerate the adoption of clean energy, reinforce energy security, attract global and domestic investments, and foster sustainable growth. The overarching framework of the development strategy aligns with the state level vision of Samruddha Odisha 2036 as well as the national objective of Viksit Bharat 2047.
The announcement comes at a time of rising momentum for the state renewable energy sector. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy recently honored Odisha with national recognition at the PM Surya Ghar Excellence Awards.
The state secured top honors for its outstanding performance during the Month of Solar campaign, achieving first place ranking across multiple parameters including maximum consumer applications, solar installations, and distribution company inspections.
Earlier, at Lok Seva Bhawan Deputy Chief Minister Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo had productive interaction with Mr. Andrew Ratcliffe, Managing Director for Asia & Pacific at the Tony Blair Institute, along with their India team.
Shri Singh Deo reaffirmed TBI’s enduring partnership with Odisha and charted the course ahead — with a sharp focus on our energy sector ambitions for 2036 and 2047.
