Balangir: Veteran political leader Shri Anang Uday Singh Deo has unveiled a magnificent statue of Bhagwan Parshuram, marking a moment of profound reverence for the local community.
The ceremony, held amidst Vedic chants and traditional fervor, served as a platform for the senior statesman to reflect on the enduring relevance of the sixth avatar of Lord Vishnu in modern governance and social ethics.
Addressing the gathered devotees and citizens, Shri Singh Deo emphasized that Lord Parshuram represents the essential synthesis of Shastra and Shaastra—the fusion of scriptural wisdom with the strength of the warrior. He noted that the deity’s life offers a timeless lesson in accountability, reminding the world that power is a sacred trust.

Drawing parallels to contemporary public life, he remarked that the Lord’s legendary axe was not a symbol of conquest, but a tool of divine correction against a ruling class that had strayed from its duty to protect the common man.
The veteran leader highlighted that while Parshuram is often remembered for his ferocity, his foundation was rooted in the penance and truth-seeking of his parents, Rishi Jamadagni and Mata Renuka.

Shri Singh Deo articulated that in today’s complex social fabric, the message of fearless righteousness is vital for upholding the rule of law and ensuring justice for the most vulnerable members of society.
As a Chiranjivi, or immortal being, Lord Parshuram’s presence in Balangir is seen as a bridge between the ancient past and the future. Shri Singh Deo urged the public to move beyond ritualistic prayer and instead adopt the Lord’s courage to challenge corruption and inequality.
The installation of the statue is expected to transform the site into a significant center for spiritual reflection, inspiring citizens to lead lives of integrity and dignity as they look toward a future guided by the principles of Dharma.
