Timeline For MLA Complex Project

Bhubaneswar: Minister for Law, Works, and Excise, Shri Prithviraj Harichandan, conducted a comprehensive site inspection and review of the under-construction MLA Residential Complex in Bhubaneswar today. MLA Shri Babu Singh accompanied Minister.

Principal Secretary Works Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh presented details on progress of project.

During the visit, the Minister emphasized the necessity of adhering to strict timelines, directing senior officials and the contracting agency to ensure all construction activities are finalized by the June 30, 2026, deadline.

This state-of-the-art residential project is designed to provide high-quality housing for both people’s representatives and senior administrative officers. The complex features six modern towers housing a total of 300 flats.

The architectural distribution includes 105 Type-7 flats and 195 Type-6 flats, specifically allocated to accommodate 130 Members of the Odisha Legislative Assembly and 170 senior government officials.

A key highlight of the project is its focus on sustainable urban development and environmental integration.

The Minister reviewed plans for a dedicated green belt within the premises, which will involve the planting of large-scale utility trees to enhance the local ecosystem.

Furthermore, the complex is being equipped with advanced infrastructure for environmental conservation, including a dedicated Sewage Treatment Plant and a sophisticated rainwater harvesting system for groundwater recharge.
In addition to the residential units, the project includes a 50-room Club House designed to facilitate guests and provide modern amenities for the residents.

The review meeting and site visit were attended by Managing Director of OBCC Shri Anupam Saha, along with chief engineers and representatives from the executing agencies.
