Bhubaneswar: Union Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers, Bhagwanth Khuba has reviewed the status of Talcher Fertilizers Ltd (TFL) and asked the concerned officials to ensure timely commissioning of the plant.
During his two days visit to the plant, the Minister emphasized the importance of the plant for meeting the target of urea production and instructed the officials of TFL and PDIL to meet the deadline for commissioning of the plant. The Centre has set a target to complete the Talcher Fertiliser project by September 2024.
“A detailed root cause analysis, corrective & committed action plan is being formulated to expedite the project, which will mark several steps towards AtmaNirbharta in fertilizers”, he said.
Mr.Khuba reviewed the project functioning and held a meeting with key officers of TFL and Projects and Development India Limited (PDIL) to take stock of the project status.
He met the contractors and sub-contractors engaged for the construction of the project and discussed with them about progress of their respective work orders.
The Union MoS also visited the plant site to review the construction status of each unit. Khuba was given an overview on the project model by senior officials of TFL and PDIL on the occasion.
Later, the Minister also undertook inspection of the railway corridor, raw-water pipeline corridor and In-take well pump house facility at Brahmani river.
Earlier, he was given Guard of Honour by CISF and undertook plantation at Vikrampur Guest House, TFL. The Minister paid his respect to Utkal Gaurav “Madhusudan Das’’ enroute to the TFL plant.
