Bhubaneswar: The Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital, in collaboration with ICICI Foundation, launched a campaign on Wednesday to extend Covid-19 vaccine to young people in the age group of 15 to 18 years.
On the first day, only physically challenged persons in the age group were provided the vaccine.
Among others, Prof. Pushparaj Samantasinhar, Medical Superintendent of IMS and SUM Hospital, Prof. Mamatadevi Mohanty, Head of the Pediatric department, Prof. Lipilekha Patnaik of the Community Medicine department were present during the launching of the vaccination programme.
Hospital sources said that youngsters in the above age group could avail the facility if they had not been vaccinated.
