Bhubaneswar: Principal Secretary Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Sanjay Kumar Singh today urged the Information Officers (IO) to file at least one ‘success story’ in every month which will be published in both ‘Utkal Prasanga’ and ‘Odisha Review’, the official journals of the State Government.
Shri Singh said this while addressing the officials of the I&PR Department today, the first working day of the New Year. Director Information & Public Relations, Indramani Tripathy graced the occasion.
Exhorting the IOs to give wider publicity to various success stories at different levels of the state, Shri Singh said apart from publishing in the two mouthpieces of the government, the Department will soon bring out a compilation of these stories for chronicling.
He also asked the IOs attached to different departments in the State Capital to file similar success stories and asked all Information Officers to achieve the work target set for them.
With a move to enhance the efficiency of the IOs, the Department of I & PR will soon prepare an annual training module, he said, adding further that the IOs will also be sent to other states to acquire more knowledge on how government information is being disseminated effectively.
Speaking on the occasion, Director, I&PR Indramani Tripathy said the process of filling up of vacant posts has been accelerated and cadre reorganization work has been completed in the meanwhile.
Director Technical Surendra Nath Parida, Additional Director Santosh Kumar Das, Joint Director Gurubir Singh and Joint Director, Biswajit Dash and other senior functionaries of the Department of I & PR were present on the occasion.
