SOA To Host Cyber Dialogue

Bhubaneswar: Leaders from government, industry, academia and defence will be coming together on a single platform for a strategic dialogue on a secure and intelligent digital future at the 2-day ‘National Conclave on Cyber Security, AI and Emerging Technologies—Securing Tomorrow’s Intelligent Systems’ beginning at the SOA Deemed to be University here on Wednesday.

The objective of the conclave, to be organised by SOA in association with the Atal Incubation Centre-SOA Foundation, foster collaboration, innovation and policy alignment to strengthen India’s resilience against evolving cyber threats while promoting the responsible and ethical adoption of Artificial Intelligence.

“It aspires to contribute meaningfully  towards building a trusted, self-reliant and future ready digital ecosystem for the country,” Prof. Manas Kumar Mallick, Director, AIC-SOA Foundation said at a news conference held on Tuesday.

The key deliverables will include policy inputs and strategic recommendations for cybersecurity, AI governance and data protection, strengthened industry-academia-government partnership for research, innovation and implementation, road map for securing critical digital infrastructure across sectors, support for innovation and startups through collaboration and ecosystem development and creation of a national knowledge network to enable continued engagement beyond the conclave.

A white paper containing key insights and actionable road map for the stakeholders will also be published. A Memorandum of Understanding will also be signed between Dr. N.K. Goyal, President, Cybersecurity Association of India and Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda, Vice-Chancellor, SOA Deemed to be University for Strategic Collaboration for Cyber Security and AI Ecosystem during the conclave.

Besides Prof. Nanda, Mr. Vinayak Godse, CEO of Data Security Council of India, Dr. Debabrata Nayak, Director of Price Waterhouse Coopers India (PwC) and Prof. Renu Sharma, Professor of Electrical Engineering, ITER, were present at the news conference.
