New Delhi: The National Panchayat Awards 2024 honored Odisha State Institute For Rural Development And Panchayati Raj(SIRD&PR).
Odisha SIRD&PR headed by Ace Mandarin, Surendra Kumar Meena received the Award from the President of India, Droupadi Murmu.
On 11 December 2024 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, the National Panchayat Award Ceremony was presided over by President of India, Droupadi Murmu.
Union Minister of Panchayati Raj, Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh also present.
Shri Meena as the Director of SIRD&PR has been scaling up the activities of the Premier Institution in a big way and providing Institutional Support to Grassroot Organizations at village level.
Panchayat Kshamta Nirmaan Sarvottam Sansthan Puraskar was awarded to the SIRD&PR, that has provided exemplary institutional support to Panchayats in achieving the Localization of Sustainable Development Goals (LSDGs).
SIRD & PR organizes various training programs for elected members of 3-tier PRIs, NGOs and different levels of officials of PR and other line departments both through in-house and off-campus mode. It also develops necessary training curriculum for the participants and develops training modules for various training program undertaken in SIRD & PR and 3 ETCs (Bhubaneswar, Bhawanipatna and Keonjhar) of the State.
