Singh Steers OSCSC

Bhubaneswar: Food, Supplies and Consumer Welfare Principal Secretary and OSCSC Chairman Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh directed officials to ensure hassle-free paddy procurement for farmers during a high-level board meeting of the Odisha State Civil Supplies Corporation.

Presiding over the session in the corporation’s conference room, Shri Singh actively steered the discussions toward resolving operational challenges as the state transitions into its Rabi Paddy Program following the successful completion of the Kharif phase.

As the premier state organization, OSCSC is responsible for purchasing paddy directly from the farming community, the corporation is currently focused on the execution of the Rabi Paddy Program. This follows the completion of the Kharif paddy procurement phase.

The meeting, which included departmental officers and other board members, focused on the corporation’s role as the premier state agency purchasing paddy directly from farmers.

During the session, Managing Director Shri K Sudarshan Chakravarthy raised several critical implementation and logistical issues.

Shri Singh systematically addressed and sorted out each bottleneck, emphasizing the need for absolute coordination to maintain a smooth, transparent, and farmer-friendly procurement process across Odisha.
