Bhubaneswar: The Confederation of Indian Industry Odisha State Council has appointed Shri Anil Kumar Singh, President of JSW Steel Ltd, as its Chairman for the 2026-27 term. Joining him in leadership is Shri Manikanta Naik, Managing Director of Tata Steel SEZ Ltd, who has been elected as Vice Chairman.
During a press meet in Bhubaneswar, Shri Singh outlined a comprehensive roadmap for the state’s economic and social progression. He emphasized that under his leadership, the council will focus on strengthening the industrial ecosystem and augmenting infrastructure to drive sustainable growth. Singh shared a long-term vision to transform Odisha into a globally competitive hub for innovation and resilience by 2036, with a specific focus on job creation and social well-being.
The Chairman identified several key growth drivers for the upcoming year, including metals and mining, manufacturing, energy transition, and port-led development. His agenda also prioritizes emerging sectors such as tourism, healthcare, and the technology-based economy. Singh highlighted that the council will work toward inclusive growth by focusing on human capital development, tribal empowerment, and climate change resilience.
To support these goals, Shri Singh’s administration will facilitate policy interventions aimed at boosting exports and creating stronger linkages between MSMEs and large industries. The council plans to partner with the state government on investment promotion and skill-building initiatives. Additionally, Shri Singh underscored the importance of industrial productivity, noting that the council will conduct specialized training in areas such as total quality management and green infrastructure certification to ensure Odisha remains at the forefront of industrial excellence.
