A day after effecting a major reshuffle among IAS officers, the State Government on Friday appointed 1997 batch IAS officer Sanjay Kumar Singh as new Principal Secretary, Information & Public Relations Department.
As per a notification issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department Singh is also allowed to remain in additional charge of Vice-Chairman, Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) and CMD, Bhubaneswar Smart City Ltd in addition to his own duties.
Mr.Singh was the Commissioner of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC). Yesterday, the Government had appointed Kulange Vijay Amruta as BMC Commissioner.
Similarly, 2008 batch IAS officer Yamini Sarangi is appointed as Officer on Special Duty (OSD), General Administration & Public Grievance Department. At present, Ms.Sarangi is serving as Managing Director, Odisha State Medical Corporation Ltd. with additional charge of Commissioner, Food Safety, Odisha.
The post of OSD is declared equivalent in status and responsibility to the post of Additional Secretary to Government provided in the IAS Cadre of the State.
The Government on Thursday appointed Brundha D as new Managing Director, Odisha State Medical Corporation Ltd (OSMCL).
