New Delhi: A high-level monthly review meeting focusing on strengthening the domestic manufacturing ecosystem in the wind sector was held on November 17, 2025, at Atal Akshay Urja Bhavan.

The meeting was chaired by Shri Santosh Sarangi, Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), and included key representatives from wind manufacturers.

The discussions were centered on enhancing the capacity and competitiveness of the Indian wind manufacturing industry. Key issues deliberated upon included the present duty structure on input materials essential for wind manufacturing, the process and challenges associated with prototype testing for new models, and the effective implementation of the resource adequacy plan to ensure a stable supply of power.

The Ministry acknowledged the concerns raised by the manufacturers and assured them of continued engagement and collaboration to find effective solutions to the various challenges they face.

The proactive dialogue is expected to pave the way for supportive policy interventions necessary for the wind sector to achieve the nation’s ambitious renewable energy targets.
