Sarangi New Secretary MNRE

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has announced the appointment of Santosh Kumar Sarangi, a distinguished IAS officer of the 1994 batch, as the new Secretary of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE).

Shri Sarangi brings with him a wealth of experience, having served as the Director General of the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) for the past four years.

During his tenure at DGFT, Shri Sarangi is credited with implementing several key initiatives aimed at boosting India’s foreign trade and streamlining export-import processes. His understanding of policy formulation and execution is expected to be invaluable in his new role at the helm of the MNRE.
