Sahoo Blames State For Files

Bhubaneswar: The Biju Janata Dal has launched a sharp attack against the Mohan government following reports that two files have gone missing from the Chief Minister’s Office. The regional opposition party has questioned whether the documents genuinely went missing or were deliberately made to disappear to protect a specific individual.

Senior BJD Lawmaker Dr. Arun Kumar Sahoo described the incident as a major security failure that compromises the highest administrative center of the state. Sahoo questioned the efficacy of the state’s online file management system, arguing that the government must clarify how physical hard copies could vanish if digital tracking is fully functional. He demanded to know the exact stage at which the files disappeared, what the file movement register reveals, and whether the CCTV footage from the office has been examined.

The opposition party also tied the missing files to a broader pattern of administrative secrecy. Dr. Sahoo pointed out that the government has yet to make public the inquiry reports regarding past controversies, including the incident where Lord Balabhadra was dropped during the Rath Yatra, and the alleged assault of an Assistant Section Officer by the son of the then Governor.

Dr.Sahoo concluded with a demand for the State Government to take moral responsibility for the lapse and immediately reveal the truth to the public.
