Bhubaneswar: President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, is scheduled to arrive in Rairangpur on June 19. The following day, June 20, the Honorable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, will also arrive in Rairangpur.
To mark the completion of two years of the Odisha State Government, both the President and the Prime Minister will participate in programs at Dandabose in Rairangpur on June 20.
They will inaugurate various development works, lay the foundation stones for infrastructure projects, and address the public at a mass rally. Governor Dr.Hari Babu Kambhampati and Chief Minister, Shri Mohan Charan Majhi will also attend the event.
Prior to the public meeting, the President and the Prime Minister are scheduled to visit Pahadpur in Rairangpur to take part in local programs and inspect an exhibition.
In view of the upcoming high-level visits, a state-level preparatory meeting was held this morning at the Lok Seva Bhawan Conference Hall under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Smt. Anu Garg. During the meeting, the Chief Secretary thoroughly reviewed the arrangements to ensure smooth management and correct execution of all protocols, issuing necessary directions and advisories.
At the beginning of the session, Special Secretary of the Home Department Shri Radha Kishan Sharma presented the initial framework of the preparations.
The meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan was attended by Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary Shri Deo Ranjan Kumar Singh; Additional Chief Secretary of Home, Industries, and Information & Public Relations Departments Shri Hemant Sharma; and Director General of Police & Fire Services Dr. Sudhanshu Sarangi.
Secretaries of various concerned departments of the state government, the Revenue Divisional Commissioner of the Central Division, other senior officials of the police administration, and top representatives from Doordarshan and telecom services were also present. The District Collector of Mayurbhanj, the Eastern Range Police IG, and the Superintendent of Police of Mayurbhanj joined the meeting via virtual mode.
Detailed discussions were held regarding security arrangements, protocol enforcement, carcade management, helipad preparation, overall coordination of events, airport arrangements, temporary accommodation for guests, medical and health services, fire services, uninterrupted power and drinking water supply, necessary road repairs, sanitation, telecommunications, and media management.
Chief Secretary Smt. Garg directed all the concerned departments and the district administration to maintain close coordination and regular monitoring to complete all preparations within the scheduled timeframe. She emphasized ensuring the highest standard of security, protocol adherence, and ancillary arrangements at every phase of the tour.
