Bhubaneswar: Shri Pradipta Mohanty has been elected as the President of the Golf Club Bhubaneswar following a keenly contested election held on 6 September.
Shri Pradipta Mohanty,a prominent industry leader, social entrepreneur, and Chairman of the S.N. Mohanty(SNM) Group, brings over five decades of extensive experience in resource and people management to the role.
His distinguished background includes serving as the Past Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry Odisha council and the OSIMA.
Having previously served as a Committee Member, Golf Club, Shri Pradipta Mohanty possesses in-depth insight into the club’s administration, sports initiatives, and operational dynamics.
Shri Arun Kumar Sabat, Returning Officer, Bhubaneswar Golf Club announced the Election Results after the counting. Shri Ashok Mishra has been elected as Secretary Golf Club. Shri Babloo Das has been elected as Golf Captain. Elected Team was felicitated by the outgoing team led by Shri Asit Tripathy.
In his new role as President, Shri Pradipta Mohanty aims to leverage his strategic governance experience to elevate the club’s facilities and management to a level of perceptible excellence.
As President, Shri Pradipta Mohanty will lead the management committee in overseeing the club’s administrative affairs, sports initiatives, and infrastructural development.
His focus includes expanding golfing activities, improving facility standards for members, and promoting golf within the region. Club members have welcomed the leadership transition, expressing optimism for future modernizations and events under his tenure.
