Dr.K Murugesan, Member Secretary State Pollution Control Board and Director Environment has advised the steel manufacturers for balancing the metal eco-system towards green sustainability. He urged for green stell making, which will be presenting a sustainable environment in the country.
Dr.Murugesan was addressing the “National Green Metal Conference-2024” in which all the leading manufacturers of iron and steel, mines owners of the State, leading personality in the field of environment protection, Professors of leading National Institutes are participating.
Dr.Murugesan said that this mega event being organized by State Pollution Control Board, Odisha in association with Biju Patnaik National Steel Institute, Odisha.
The main theme of this National Conference is “Balancing the Metal Eco System Towards Green Sustainability”.
The focus areas include technology advancement in manufacturing and pollution control & monitoring, alternative energy, sustainable mining, circular economy, green financing, industrial safety and capacity augmentation through skill.
Dr. Murugesan said that It is a fact that under guidance of our Hon’ble Chief Minister, the State Pollution Control Board Odisha has been declared as No. 1 Board amongst all State Pollution Control Boards of the Country for its transparency index.
Dr.Murugesan presented the welcome address in which he welcomed all the guests, invitees and media members.
His presentation was lucid and information oriented, which reflects the seriousness of the National Meet, said R N Prusty, Veteran Scientist of SPCB.
