Bhubaneswar:An able Top Cop, Sanjeeb Panda has taken over as Commissioner of Police (CP) of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack here on 29 January.
1994 Batch IPS Shri Panda took charge from outgoing Twin City CP Saumendra Priyadarshi, a 1995 Batch IPS, who has been apoointed as Director Intelligence of Odisha.
Shri Panda, a hardworking and honest Top Cop has all along worked in top posts including Director Intelligence, CMD Odisha State Police Housing & Welfare Corporation, Chief of Crime Branch, Additional DGP Law & Order etc.
During his long career spanning 30 years, he has handled critical and sensitive issues.
Mr.Panda, who has the experience in handling Intelligence apparatus of the State earlier, has the acumen for ably managing this hypersensitive job, feels a former DGP.
With upcoming General and State Assembly elections in April 2024, it will be a challenge for the Twin City Police, for which an able Top Cop has been assigned the task by the State Government.
