Bhubaneswar: The Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) celebrated its 65th Foundation Day at the Krushi Shiksha Sadan with a ceremony highlighting decades of service to the state’s agricultural sector.
Addressing the inaugural session, Shri K. V. Singh Deo, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister and Pro-Chancellor of OUAT, praised the institution’s rich legacy and achievements. He emphasized the pivotal role OUAT continues to play in advancing agricultural education, scientific research, and extension services across Odisha, driving rural transformation and empowering local farming communities.
The event was graced by Shri Sachin Ramachandra Jadhav, Secretary of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment, who acknowledged the university’s ongoing contributions to regional food security and sustainable farming practices.
The ceremony was chaired by OUAT Vice Chancellor Professor Pravat Kumar Roul, who reiterated the university’s commitment to fostering cutting-edge agricultural innovation, expanding extension outreach, and equipping students to meet modern agricultural challenges.
