Bhubaneswar: Minister Energy, Industries & MSME Pratap Keshari Deb on Monday inaugurated Odisha Hydro Power Corporation (OHPC) Training Hostel and Complex here at Patia.
Chairman OHPC & Principal Secretary Higher Education, Bishnupada Sethi and other senior officials graced the occasion.
The complex, which was constructed over 3662 square feet area, has 12 single bedded rooms, 12 double bedded rooms, cafeterias, multi-purpose hall, conference hall and other facilities. The five-storied complex has been constructed adjacent to the old training centre.
On this occasion, Minister Deb said OHPC is contributing 25 percent of the total power demand of the State. The Corporation is supplying 1500 to 1600 megawatt electricity during peak hour. It has earned a profit of Rs 400 crore during the financial year 2022-23, he said.
The Minister was very much sure that the newly constructed hostel and complex will further strengthen OHPC.
Among others senior officers of OHPC, Amresh Kumar, Prabodh Kumar Mohanty and Asish Kumar attended the inaugural ceremony.
