Bhubaneswar: Record production, higher revenue, and efficient resource management have reinforced Odisha’s position as India’s leading mineral-producing state over the last two years. The mining sector continues to drive economic growth, industrial development, and greater public investment across the state. Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has expressed great satisfaction with this impressive rise in mining revenue, emphasizing that the benefits of the state’s natural wealth are being directly utilized for the welfare of its people.
According to official data released on the state’s performance, Odisha achieved a milestone of 471.49 million metric tonnes (MMT) of mineral production alongside a highly successful dispatch of 454.76 MMT. This massive scale of operations has propelled the state’s mineral revenue to an outstanding 46,710 crore rupees in the fiscal year 2025-26.
Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi highlighted that development is meaningful only when it actively improves people’s lives. Over the last two years, Odisha has significantly expanded education, healthcare, skill development, and livelihood initiatives across mining-affected regions.
