New Delhi: Odisha’s Women Empowerment was showcased through the tableau, which rolled down the Kartavya Path at the 75th Republic Day Parade in the National Capital here on 26 January.
The theme of the tableau was “Women Empowerment”, presented through its handloom and handicraft.
While Odisha has 70 Lakh Women SHGs, the tableau through live demonstration shown the intricacies in handcrafts and handloom products, which have international acclaim.
Front part of tableau presented Odishan art and culture through Shree Krishna’s affection towards Gopi and on both sides Lord Jagannatha Chariot’s wheel presented the growth of the State. Women’s love for Viksit Bharat was well presented in the tableau.
Heritage Hub of Raghurajpur was depicted in the tableau. In the artisan village major roles are performed by women and ‘Pattachitra’, Pipili craft was presented in a lively manner.
Odisha is developing in a faster and greater speed, which was demonstrated with horse power. State is having rapid progress under the leadership of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
A huge umbrella was placed in the tableau and these umbrellas are used during movement of God and Goddess.
Ministry of Defence has selected the tableau for participation and an online voting has started from today and it will continue till 5.30AM on 27 January.
People have been requested to participate in the online voting for the Odisha tableau.
