Bhubaneswar: Top Cop Himanshu Lal has received Governor’s Medal from Odisha Governor Raghubar Das on 26 January in a simple ceremony held here.
2003 Batch IPS Officer Shri Lal is IGP Northern Range, who served as IGP Eastern Range earlier.
Shri Lal is known for hard work, honesty, professional approach and service to the people.
IGP Shri Lal has performed sincere service during the Bahanaga Rail Accident and has been honored by the Odisha Government for his service
Shri Lal, as IGP Eastern Range, who led the Team Police along with SP Balasore, Sagarika Nath, and other Top Cops were honored for their selfless and timely service.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik honoured the Top Cop in a special ceremony held at Lok Seva Bhawan, Bhubaneswar.
Now Shri Lal has been assigned Northern Range, which is politically sensitive and is a Hub of Industries.
Shri Lal has also served Northern Range earlier and has the experience in handling difficult situations.
