Bhubaneswar: While the target was set to cover two lakh beneficiaries in a day for COVID-19 Vaccination, Odisha has achieved more than that.
Latest Report on Vaccination reveals that on 1 April at least 2, 03,162 people have been vaccinated across the state.
Cumulative Stats shows that Odisha has already vaccinated more than 26 Lakh beneficiaries as on 1 April.
In view of the surge in Covid cases in States and Union Territories, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has communicated to the State Government that COVID Vaccination shall be operationalized on all days in all COVID Vaccination Centers(CVC).
Accordingly, ACS Health & Family Welfare Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra has directed the District Collectors in this regard.
Mr.Mohapatra said that this will be applicable for both Public and Private CVCs, including the Gazette holidays during the month of April 2021
Secondly, the number of CVCs should be increased to achieve the target fixed for your district.
ACS Health has directed the District Collectors that the above instructions must be communicated to all block level officials & private health facilities.
So far Final COVID-19 Report of 01 April 2021 reveals that there were 1342 active sites of which 58 are Covaxin.
While a total of 2, 031, 62 beneficiaires are covered today, 629 Health Care Workers were vaccinated with first dose, 809 HCWs were vaccinated with second dose.
629 Front Line Worker(FLW)s were vaccinated with first dose, 809 FLWs were vaccinated with second dose.
1, 21, 855 beneficiaries were of 45 to 59 Years with co-morbidity given first dose and 618 beneficiaries of 45 to 59 Years with co-morbidity were given second dose.
67,611 beneficiaries of 60 years and above were given first dose and 9,431people of 60 yrs & above were given second doses.
There are three Adverse Event Following Immunization (AEFI) were reported across the State.
Total vaccinated till date are 26, 14, 175 and out of which 60 years & above taken first dose are 14,74,590 and 21,141 people of 60 years and above have been administered vaccines.
As on date 3,14,992 HCWs have taken first doses, 2, 60,736 have taken second doses.
1,86,312 FLWs have taken first dose and 1,40, 218 FLWs have taken second dose of vaccines.
2,14,896 beneficiaries of 45 to 59 years have taken first dose and 1010 of the same age groups have taken second dose.
