Bhubaneswar: Odisha has joined the rest of the nation in celebrating the birthday of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi with widespread enthusiasm, public engagement, and service-oriented initiatives. The highlight of the state level celebrations revolves around the Ashirwad Ka Diya campaign, which was launched as a central element of the month-long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan across the state.
Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi led the celebrations by appealing to every family in Odisha to light an earthen lamp at home, in local temples, or at community spaces. The initiative encourages residents, particularly beneficiaries of central and state welfare schemes, to express their gratitude, offer prayers for the Prime Minister’s long life and good health, and share their moments on social media. Responding to this call, families and community groups across Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, and other districts lit traditional lamps and organized special prayer sessions.
The day also marked the start of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, organized to honor Prime Minister Shri Modi’s decades of public service. As part of this drive, blood donation camps, tree plantation initiatives, and community service activities were held in urban and rural areas alike. Programs such as the Seva Jyoti Yatra and outreach activities were rolled out across all districts to promote public welfare and civic participation.
The Prime Minister’s public expression of gratitude on social media platform X, where he highlighted that Ashirwad Ka Diya deeply touched his heart and strengthened his resolve to serve the nation, resonated strongly across Odisha. State leaders and local citizens alike emphasized that the outpouring of affection reflects a shared commitment toward building a developed and prosperous nation.
