Bhubaneswar: BJD Supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today slammed BJP and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma over his social media post on X.
Sharing a video of the CM addressing a rally on his X handle, Shri Sarma wrote, “This is a deeply distressing video. Shri VK Pandian ji is even controlling the hand movements of Shri Naveen Babu. I shudder to imagine the level of control a retired ex bureaucrat from Tamil Nadu is currently exercising over the future of Odisha! BJP is determined is give back the reins of Odisha to the people of the State.”
Responding to the post, Naveen, in a video message, said: “I believe that the BJP which is known to make non-issues into issues, are discussing my hands. This will certainly not work.”
On May 24, the CM had also castigated the saffron party leaders for spreading lies about his health after BJP leader Amit Shah said that Shri Patnaik should retire due to his advanced age and health issues while promising to make a young Odia-speaking ‘Bhumiputra’ the CM if people of the state vote BJP into power.
“There is a limit to the lies that the BJP can tell. As you can see, I am in very good health, and I have been campaigning for around a month all over the State,” the BJD Chief had said earlier.
