More Funds For Housing

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government has spent Rs.1138.02 crore and constructed 1,05,377 houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (G) during 2021-22 financial year.

The State Government has proposed Budget provision for 2022-23 is Rs. 5505.84 crore for the program, Panchyati Raj and Drinking Water Minister Pradip Amat informed the State Legislative Assembly on Monday.

Replying to the debate on his department’s demand for Rs.22734.84 crore during the 2022-23 fiscal, he said out of this Rs.17573.79 crore is under programme expenditure, Rs 2082.46 crore under 15th CFC Award, Rs.2649.04 crore under 5th SFC Award and Rs 429.55 Cr. towards Administrative Expenditure.

During the 2021-22 financial year, Rs.915.14 crore has been spent and construction of 1910 houses completed under Biju Pucca Ghar Yojna, he informed the House.

Further repair grant @ Rs.5000 has been paid to 22,46,807  families, he added.

The Budget provision for 2022-23 under the Biju Pucca Ghar is Rs.400.00 crore.

During 2021-22, Rs.2473.98 crore has been spent and the Budget provision under MGNREGS scheme for 2022-23 is Rs. 2000 crore and Rs.1000 crore under MGNREGS Revolving fund.

Further, the Minister said that for provision of additional 200 days of wage employment over and above the 100 days of work guaranteed under the MGNREGA to 20 blocks of 4 migration prone districts like Bolangir, Baragarh, Kalahandi, Nuapada a new state sector scheme namely State Support to MGNREGS has been introduced and budget provision of Rs.500.00 Crore has been proposed for 2022-23.

During 2021-22, 30171 rural youths have been trained under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Koushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) The Budget provision for 2022-23 is Rs. 86.00 crore, the Minister said.

Under Rural Water Supply Scheme on date.4,76,050 tube wells and sanitary wells installed and 13848 single village/ multi village piped waters supply schemes have been commissioned to provide safe drinking water to the Rural areas of the State.

Besides 12,683 of solar based piped water supply projects have been completed, 3386 solar based PWS schemes are under execution in 1st phase and tender has been invited for 3103 projects.

There is a budget provision of Rs. 6000.00 crore under JJM, Rs. 850.00 Crore under BASUDHA and Rs. 1000.00 crore under Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) for the F.Y. 2022-23.

There is a budget provision of Rs. 2082.46 crore under 15th Finance Commission for FY 2022-23 which may be distributed among the GPs, PSs & ZPs. 

The Budget provision is Rs. 2649.04 crore under 5th State Finance Commission (SFC) for 2022-23, said he.
