New Delhi: Union Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi took to social media to commend the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) following the announcement of its exceptional performance for the first half of the fiscal year (H1 FY26).
The Minister, who oversees the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, acknowledged IREDA’s pivotal role in national energy policy via a post on the X platform.
“Impressive half-yearly performance by @IREDALtd, reinforcing its role as a key driver of India’s #RenewableEnergy journey,” Shri Joshi posted. “Such consistent progress strengthens our pursuit of clean energy, sustainability and self-reliance, aligning with the nation’s vision of a greener future.”
Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited(IREDA) announced a massive jump in its half-yearly financial metrics, with Chairman & Managing Director Shri Pradip Kumar Das immediately committing to scale up support for India’s clean energy ambitions.

Shri Das highlighted the organization’s strong financial momentum as the basis for its expanded commitment.
“The momentum achieved in the first half of this financial year is a clear indication of IREDA’s continued leadership in renewable energy financing,” Shri Das stated.
He added, “We will build on this foundation to further scale up support for clean energy projects in alignment with the nation’s green energy goals.”
The company’s H1 FY 2025-26 provisional data showed explosive growth, confirming its capacity to lead the clean energy financial push:
- Loan Sanctions Surged 86%: Climbing to ₹33,148 crore from ₹17,860 crore last year.
- Disbursements Jumped 54%: Rising to ₹15,043 crore from ₹9,787 crore.
- Loan Book Grew 31%: Reaching ₹84,445 crore as of September 30, 2025.
Shri Das extended his gratitude to the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) and the dedicated Team IREDA for their support in achieving this continuous growth trajectory.
