Bhubaneswar: Secretary SC ST Development, Roopa Roshan Sahoo has encouraged the newly recruited Welfare Extension Officers (WEO)s to uphold the highest ethical standards and a commitment to excellence in their service to the community and bring positive change through their efforts.

Presiding over the Closing ceremony of the first batch of the eleven-day induction training program for newly recruited Welfare Extension Officers (WEOs) was held today at the SCSTRTI, Shrimati Sahoo presented encouraging advises.

Indramani Tripathy, Director, Tribal Affairs and SCSTRTI congratulated all the WEOs on the successful completion of their training and urged them to work with dedication and commitment to serve the underprivileged and marginalized sections of society.

Shri Tripathy emphasized the importance of compassion, empathy, and professional integrity in their work and says that the eleven-day induction training program will help them to perform their duty effectively and fulfill their responsibilities which will make a positive difference in the lives of the people they serve.

During the closing ceremony of the induction training program, participants had the opportunity to share their observations, insights, and findings from their field exposure to Gajapati and Keonjhar districts where they learned about the working of various Schemes & programs undertaken by the ST & SC Development Department.

During the field visit, participants observed how different projects are bringing positive impact on the lives of ST and SC communities in the area.

They learned how the project had helped to improve access to education, healthcare, and other essential services. They also shared their insights into the challenges and opportunities faced by ST and SC communities along with suggestions for improvement in the future.

Participants presented their findings from the Field Visits. This included data and evidence on the impact of the project on the lives of ST and SC communities.
