Balangir: Senior Lawmaker and MLA of Balangir, Shri Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo, recently hosted a gathering to welcome the newly selected Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officers hailing from the Bolangir region.
The event provided a platform for candid discussion on the future challenges, responsibilities, and the potential for these new officers to bring meaningful change to the lives of Odisha’s people.
Shri Singh Deo engaged with the officers, discussing the demanding journey ahead and emphasizing the need for both courage and compassion in their service to the state. He stressed that administrative work, while challenging, is a profound opportunity to shape lives and communities for the better.
Accompanying Shri Singh Deo was the Chairperson of Bolangir Municipality, Shrimati Lika Sahu, who offered her congratulations and encouragement to the future administrators.

A key highlight of the discussion was the enduring administrative legacy inherited by Shri Singh Deo. He is the ‘Grand Son’ of Shri Rajendra Narayan Singh Deo, a former Chief Minister of Odisha.
The former Chief Minister was widely recognized as an “Ace Administrator” known for his impartiality and legendary administrative acumen—a standard of excellence that the new officers were encouraged to aspire to.
Shri Singh Deo presented ‘Mantra’ for budding administrators, as he himself is an ace administrator.
The welcoming event served as a powerful send-off, inspiring the next generation of civil servants to embody integrity and dedication as they embark on their careers in service of Odisha.
