New Delhi: In a significant manifestation of fiscal resilience and systemic growth, the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) has released its audited financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2025, revealing a trajectory of robust expansion within the sovereign-backed energy financing sector.
Under the dynamic leadership of Shri Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman and Managing Director, IREDA has reported a net profit of Rs.585 crore for the third quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year, representing a 37 percent increase compared to the Rs.425 crore recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.
The performance metrics underscore a deliberate institutional shift toward high-velocity capital deployment. Loan disbursements for the quarter rose to Rs.9,860 crore, a 32 percent year-on-year escalation, while the total loan book expanded by 28 percent to reach 87,975 crore rupees.
This strategic scale-up is mirrored in the organization’s equity base, with net worth increasing by 38 percent to Rs.13,537 crore, providing a formidable capital buffer for future lending operations. Revenue from operations also demonstrated a steady upward curve, rising 26 percent to Rs.2,140 crore.
Beyond the numerical gains, the administrative speed with which these audited results were finalized—concluded within nine days of the quarter’s end—establishes a new benchmark for corporate governance and transparency in the public sector.
IREDA CMD Shri Das attributed this operational efficiency to the dedication of the workforce and the sustained policy guidance from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
This performance signals a reinforced commitment to India’s broader energy transition, utilizing innovative financing mechanisms to maintain structural momentum in the renewable energy market.
A grateful CMD of CPSU, Shri Das also conveyed his appreciation to Team IREDA for their dedicated efforts and expressed gratitude to the Hon’ble Union Minister for New & Renewable Energy; Hon’ble Minister of State for New & Renewable Energy; Secretary, MNRE; and the Board of Directors for their sustained guidance and support.
