IREDA Expands Foot Prints

Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) has opened its fourth branch office in the country in Bhubaneswar, Odisha for the facilitation of its customer, borrowers, and other stakeholders. IREDA, a Mini Ratna (Category–I) Government of India Enterprise, under the administrative control of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) already has three branch offices in Mumbai, Chennai, and Hyderabad.

Shri Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), IREDA inaugurated the new office of the company at Hotel Kalinga Ashok, Bhubaneswar today in the presence of Shri Chintan Shah, Director (Technical), Managing Director, GRIDCO, Director (Finance), GRIDCO, Director (Finance) OPTCL, State Head of REC & HUDCO, IREDA’s borrowers & stakeholders, and other senior officials. Speaking on the occasion, CMD, IREDA said, “Bhubaneswar branch is an important step towards realizing the company’s vision for the expansion of business. It will provide easy access and services to the company’s borrowers and stakeholders in the region.”

CMD underlined that “being significant Renewable Energy potential in Odisha and nearby states, the opening of the branch in the region was a long-felt need.” Shri Das further said, “the company will consider the opening of branch offices in other parts of the country as per the potential of the business.” He also underlined that the current drive of the company for decentralization is part of its commitment to ease of doing business, an agenda set out by the Government of India.” IREDA had opened its third branch office in Mumbai in the last year.
