New Delhi: Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman and Managing Director of the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA), met with the newly appointed Secretary of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Santosh Kumar Sarangi.
During the courtesy meeting, Shri Das briefed Shri Sarangi on IREDA’s major initiatives and achievements over the past five years. He emphasized IREDA’s commitment to supporting the Government of India’s ambitious renewable energy targets through innovative financing solutions and strategic partnerships.
Shri Das also highlighted IREDA’s crucial role in accelerating the nation’s transition to clean energy by facilitating investments across various sectors of renewable energy.
Shri Sarangi was happy to know about the IREDA growth during the tenure of Shri Das and MNRE Secretary lauded his efforts in scaling the organization to great height.
Shri Sarangi, a 1994 batch IAS officer from the Odisha cadre, recently assumed the role of Secretary, MNRE. Prior to this, he served as the Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT).
His appointment comes at a crucial time as India scales up its renewable energy capacity to meet national goals and global climate commitments.
