Bhubaneswar: Rains with lightning is likely to occur at a few places in the State during the next two days under the influence of westerly winds, IMD has alerted.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of North Odisha on February 4.
Besides, thunderstorms with lightning and hailstorms are very likely to occur at one or two places across the State on the same day.
An IMD bulletin said that light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of north interior Odisha, at one or two places over the districts of north coastal Odisha, Nuapada, Bolangir, Sonepur, Boudh and dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha on February 4.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of North Odisha & at a few places over the districts of South Odisha on February 5, it added.
Issuing a yellow warning for the day, it said thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and hailstorm very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak and Balasore, pointed out IMD.
