Bhubaneswar: Like last year, the 75th Independence Day will be celebrated here at Unit-III Exhibition Ground with adherence to Covid-19 guidelines.
Information and Public Relation, Principal Secretary Bishnupada Sethi on Monday took stock of the preparedness made by the Department, in this regard.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will be the chief guest at the State-Level I-Day celebration and unfurl the National Flag.
The day will be celebrated with participation of a very limited number of guests including Covid warriors and Government officials. As it is a very important event of the Nation, Mr.Sethi asked all his officials to ensure proper planning and implementation of all works related to the celebration.
All details related to playing Ramdhun and proper live telecasting of the event through various media and social media platforms were discussed at the meeting. Sethi also discussed the stage decoration, guest invitation and participation of the Covid warriors.
Social distancing norms, wearing of masks and other Covid-19 guidelines will be followed strictly by those attending the function. All buildings of the Government and its PSUs will be decorated with colorful lights. The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has been instructed for proper sanitization of the place and drinking water facility while the Bhubaneswar DCP will look after traffic arrangements.
Like last year, the Department will celebrate the Independence Day at New Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai and Kolkata apart from various places of the State.
Among others, I&PR Director Indramani Tripathy, Director Technical Niranjan Sethi, Odisha Review and Utkal Prasanga Editor Lenin Mohanty, Joint Secretary Bishnupriya Sahu, Additional Director Pramod Kumar Mallick, Joint Director Surendra Kumar Parida and Deputy Director Santosh Mukar Das and other officials attended the meeting.
