Bhubaneswar: State Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts Principal Secretary Arabinda Kumar Padhee inaugurated the Special Handloom Expo-2022 at Ekamra Haat here on Sunday.
Shri Padhee has been at the fore front in promoting handloom products in the State in a big way.
The Special Handloom Expo-2022 is organised by Sambalpuri Bastralaya under the Odisha Government’s POHI-2022-23 scheme to boost up the sales and provide regular employment to the weaver members of the PWCS/SHGs.
A total of 34 stalls have been opened in which women SHG/PWCS of Baragrh, Cuttack, Sonepur, Athagarh, Baripada, Khurda, Nayagarh, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Koraput and Boudh Zone including Sambalpuri Bastralaya are showcasing and selling their products.
The Expo will remain open to the public till December 14.
