e-Receipt Transacts Over 22 K Crore

Bhubaneswar: At least 97 per cent of the total transaction (worth more than Rs 1 crore) made in State Treasury in the current year 2021-22 are done through online mode.

Principal Secretary Finance Vishal Dev has reviewed progress of e-Receipts along with senior officers of Department of Finance here on 3 September.

According to official data, a total of receipt (in crore) worth Rs 23,674 crore was made through the Treasury during 2021-22 till now, of which e-receipt amount was Rs 22,984 crore.

The e-Receipts has witnessed a growth during a period of six years. About 83 per cent of e-receipts were made through the treasury in 2016-17, which increased to 87 per cent in 2017-18 and 90 per cent in 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21. 

Similarly, in the case of the receipts made in lakhs, 94 per cent of the total receipts made in the Treasury are done through online transactions. In this case too, the generation of e-receipt grew from 68 per cent in 2016-17 to 73 per cent in 2017-18, 75 per cent in 2018-19, 86 per cent in 2019-20 and 91 per cent during last financial year.     

Approximately, 60 lakh transactions are being done through the State Treasury. More than 37 Departments and approximately 150 Services are using the online platform.

Moreover, over 95 per cent of State Government revenue collected through the online platform of State Treasury. Payment can be done through Debit & Credit card, Net Banking, UPI, Wallets.

Yesterday, Chief Secretary SC Mahapatra had rolled out the new version of the online platform and in his presence Service Level Agreements were signed between Government and the two Banks, i.e. Axis Bank and Indian Bank for use of two other payment Gateways namely: Bill desk and CC Avenue.

Now, the confirmation of transaction can be known maximum within 30 minutes and there is a facility for double verification of transaction status.

The Finance Department has taken steps for providing good governance and improving the delivery of services in electronic receipts and disbursement under Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS).
