Bhubaneswar: 1993 Batch IAS Nikunja Bihari Dhal has been appointed as new Chief Electoral Officer (CEO).
Election Commission of India has issued the appointment of Shri Dhal in consultation with the State Government, said Rahul Sharma, Principal Secretary Election Commission of India in the Order.
ECI has stipulated that while functioning as CEO Shri Dhal will not hold any additional charge whatsoever under the Government of Odisha.
Shri Dhal will take over from Sushil Kumar Lohani, who is presently holding charge of CEO.
Shri Dhal is now ACS Energy and holding additional charge of various other sectors.
ACS Revenue & Disaster Management, Satyabrata Sahu has been given additional charge of Special Relief Commissioner (SRC).
Shri Sahu is holding additional charge as ACS Odia Language, Literature & Culture.
1995 Batch IAS Sushil Kumar Lohani has been appointed Principal Secretary Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water.
Shri Lohani has been given additional charge as Principal Secretary Department of Excise.
1997 Batch IAS Sanjay Kumar Singh Principal Secretary Rural Development has been given additional charge of Department of Energy.
Shri Singh is holding additional charge of Information & Public Relations, Commercial Tax & GST.
2007 Batch IAS Gyanaranjan Das has been appointed as Managing Director Odisha State Disaster Management Authority (OSDMA).
Shri Das is now serving as Executive Director OSDMA, Odisha.
