Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Construction Corporation Limited (OCCL) today celebrated its 63rd Foundation Day at the World Skills Centre in Bhubaneswar, marking a significant milestone in its journey of contributing to the state’s infrastructure development. The occasion was also an opportune moment for the Corporation to host a crucial workshop, aimed at reviewing its past achievements and charting a robust course for the future, aligned with the ambitious goals of “Developed Odisha 2036” and “Developed India 2047.”

The program was inaugurated by Anu Garg, Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary, Water Resources, who graced the event as the Chief Guest and Chairperson of OCCL.

Smt. Garg lauded the OCCL team for their remarkable successes and offered invaluable insights for the Corporation’s future trajectory. She emphasized the critical need for continuous consultation with technical experts in the Corporation’s management to further elevate its efficiency. Furthermore, she urged OCCL to strive for even greater performance, aspiring to transform it into a nationally recognized entity, comparable to leading corporations in neighboring states.

Smt. Garg also commended OCCL for consistently delivering quality work across various infrastructure projects within Odisha, outside the state, and for other departments, while diligently executing its core responsibilities for the Water Resources Department.

In his welcome address, Bibhuti Bhushan Dash, Managing Director of OCCL, highlighted the Corporation’s consistent and remarkable achievements since its inception in 1962. He underscored OCCL’s pivotal role in Odisha’s infrastructure development, contributing significantly to the state’s progress.

The workshop featured a panel of distinguished experts and speakers who deliberated on strategies for OCCL to solidify its position as a fast-growing, nationally prominent organization in the coming days.

Seminars saw active participation from the Eingineer In Chiefs, Chief Engineers and Additional Chief Engineers of the Water Resources Department, along with other members of OCCL.

They engaged in a constructive discussion on the Corporation’s ongoing work and its future action plan. The Foundation Day celebration served as a platform to reiterate OCCL’s vision of enhancing its national recognition by demonstrating innovation and excellence in the field of construction.

Established in 1962, OCCL is a vital enterprise of the Government of Odisha, consistently playing a leading role in the state’s infrastructure development.

For over six decades, OCCL has made significant contributions to the progress and prosperity of Odisha by successfully developing crucial infrastructure in diverse sectors, including irrigation, power, industry, roads, and housing.
