Bhubaneswar: The Central Government has appointed four senior IAS officers as Central Nodal Officers (CNOs) to monitor the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PMDDKY) in four identified districts of Odisha.
These officers, mostly serving as Joint Secretaries in Delhi, will ensure the scheme’s objectives—to boost agricultural productivity, improve irrigation, and facilitate credit access—are met effectively in these regions.
District | Central Nodal Officer (CNO) | Designation | IAS Batch & Cadre |
Kandhamal | Ms. Roopa Mishra | JS, M/o Housing and Urban Affairs | 2004, Odisha |
Malkangiri | Ms. Shalini Pandit | JS, Department of Financial Services | 2001, Odisha |
Nuapada | Shri Vineel Krishna Ravella | JS, D/o Sports | 2005, Odisha |
Sundargarh | Shri Purna Chandra Kishan | JS, Department of Agriculture & FW | 2005, Rajasthan |
Their primary role involves regular field visits, performance review, and providing feedback for course correction, acting as the critical link between the Centre and the District Administrations.
The PMDDKY scheme is a convergence of 36 existing Central schemes, aiming to bring intensive development focus to 100 agricultural districts across the country, including these four in Odisha.
