Bhubaneswar: The 45th meeting of the State Cabinet was convened at the Conference Hall of Loka Seva Bhawan under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi.
Following the meeting, Chief Secretary Smt. Anu Garg briefed the media regarding the policy decisions and infrastructure projects approved by the Cabinet. In total, 11 proposals spanning 6 key departments were thoroughly discussed and granted formal approval.
Water Resources Department: A total of 5 major proposals were approved, representing the highest allocation among all departments. These decisions focus on enhancing irrigation network capacity, strengthening water management infrastructure across rural belts, and expediting ongoing river basin development projects.
Housing and Urban Development Department: 2 proposals received approval, targeting urban infrastructure development, municipal service delivery, and civic amenity enhancements across urban local bodies in the state.
Agriculture and Farmers Empowerment Department: 1 proposal was approved, aimed at strengthening farmer welfare initiatives, expanding agricultural support mechanisms, and promoting farm mechanization.
ST and SC Development, Minorities and Backward Classes Welfare Department: 1 proposal was cleared, focusing on targeted welfare programs, educational support, and community development measures for marginalized populations.
Finance Department: 1 proposal was approved, aimed at streamlining fiscal procedures and optimizing administrative expenditure allocations.
Law Department: 1 proposal was cleared, pertaining to legal administrative reforms and judicial framework updates within the state.
Addressing the press, Chief Secretary Smt. Anu Garg emphasized that these decisions reflect the government’s continued focus on balanced regional development, agricultural empowerment, and infrastructure expansion across Odisha.
