Bhubaneswar: The second volume of the Journal of the Board of Revenue, Odisha, was officially launched at the Camp Office of the Member, Board of Revenue, Odisha.
The launch event was led by Shri Suresh Pujari, Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management, in the presence of Shri Satyabrata Sahu, Member, Board of Revenue, Odisha.
During the event, Minister Shri Pujari advised the Department to ensure wide circulation of the journal among all revenue officers across the state. He instructed officials to closely study key judgments delivered by the Revisional Courts under the Board of Revenue. The Minister highlighted that reviewing these diverse revenue matters will help strengthen officers’ legal knowledge and deepen their understanding of fundamental judicial case disposal principles.
In his address, Minister Shri Pujari also urged Revenue Officers to maintain regular court proceedings and carry out their judicial duties with sincerity, diligence, and commitment. He emphasized that proactive and disciplined court operations are essential for delivering speedy, fair, and effective justice to litigants.
Highlighting the scope of the publication, Member Board Of Revenue, Shri Satyabrata Sahu noted that releasing the second volume in 2026 reflects an ongoing commitment to enhancing judicial capabilities within the department. He stressed that a significant responsibility rests upon the presiding officers of revision courts to ensure that all passed orders are rational, comprehensive, and judicious.
The publication aims to serve as a practical reference manual to refresh knowledge and build administrative proficiency among revenue officers and legal professionals. Key priorities outlined for the department include adjudicating land disputes transparently and safeguarding protected lands, particularly common property resources, forest areas, deity endowments, and properties belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities. Departmental leadership remains open to suggestions to further improve future editions and operational standards.
